So the cost of school cost $8,500. Ouch......There are not that many valid school in Las Vegas when it comes to learning to be a nail technician. G Skin and Beauty, Marinello's, Europhoria, James Albert School of Cosmotelogy, and Expertise. I called all the schools and requested prices to help determine what school I wanted to go to. My call to Marinello was meet with less enthusiam and they seemed the least inflexible on their schedule (plus the lady was rude). But the cost there was about 3600 for their entire nail program. The thing with their program is that you couldnt miss a day. Myself holding a full time job at night and operating an electrolysis business wouldnt work going to this school.
Expertise was just too far away for me to commute so that school was ruled out immediately. (Plus it seemed like it was not up to standards seeing that it lost its accrediation a few months later) Europhia did not just have an all nail program so that shcool was ruled out as well. James Albert's School was a brand new school and frankly I just did not trust it.
Lastly it was G Skin and Beauty in Las Vega Nevada. This institution was the most flexible but cost the most money but they financed your education. Mine worked out to be 12 hours a week and it would take just under a years to earn my certification and graduate. I actually pay about 100 a month and I got a 1200 grant since my night job keeps me at the poverty line. LOL
After I got in shcool and began talking with other students I learned that most of the students had loans but their terms was similiar to mine but some students didnt have to pay monthly like I did. In retrospect...8500 dollars is alot of money for the type of supplies we got plus the price is almost double compared to other schools. But hey....its only money and it comes and goes like the four seasons.
